West Barnstable, MA October 1, 2010  — CelDel, LLC, a leading designer of COTS single board hardware and software solutions, has announced its first dual core 3U Compact PCI single board computer based on the Freescale P2020. This board offers enough processing power for complex applications such as high density telecom line cards or military secure networking. John DellaMorte of CelDel adds “The P2020 dual-core processors support symmetric and asymmetric multi-processing which will allow for scaled performance through either thread-level or application level parallelism.”
CelDel has made this power easily accessible by porting a full Debian Linux install to this platform. Customers can be up and running in no time, utilizing the existing HTTP, FTP, NFS, Samba, DHCP and Telnet servers.
The Dual Core P2020 CPCI board comes with 2GB DDR2 memory, two SATA interfaces and 128 Mbyte (x16) NOR boot flash.  It is packed with IO capability, including up to 8 triple speed copper ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports and a single RS-232 port accessible via the rear transition IO board.  All of this capability is contained in a ruggedized, ROHS compliant , hot-swappable CPCI form factor.
