CelDel, LLC introduces the industry’s first dual PPC440EPx board in a standard 3U CPCI form-factor.

West Barnstable, MA October 12, 2010  –  CelDel, LLC, a leading designer of COTS single board hardware and software solutions, announces availability of its first PPC440EPx based 3U CPCI board.  This board offers the highest processing density on the market today offering up to two processors in a single compact, and rugged 3U CPCI form factor, making it ideal for complex applications such as secure networking or data processing.  Octavio Amaral of CelDel adds “Offering up to two CPUs on such a small form-factor allows customers to achieve processing densities not seen before in the industry.  Customers can scale their system easily with multiple build options to achieve an optimal solution.”
In addition, CelDel has ported a full Debian Linux install to this platform. Customers can be up and running in no time, utilizing the existing HTTP, FTP, NFS, Samba, DHCP and Telnet servers.
The Dual PPC440EPx CPCI board comes with 512MB DDR2 memory (per processor), 128 Mbyte (x16) NOR boot flash.  It is packed with IO capability, including up to 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports.  Additional IO is accessible via a rear transition board packing USB 2.0 client and host ports as well RS-232 interfaces.   All of this capability is contained in a ruggedized, ROHS compliant , hot-swappable CPCI form factor.
